Eh, Glitter Gulch is no huge loss. Notorious tourist trap where they would try and charge people $100 for just talking to a girl at the bar.

Not much of a strip club fan, but I liked the Palomino, especially coming from Minneapolis, where you literally have to sit on your hands if you get a lap dance.

If your planning to go to Fremont/downtown anyway, would say to just go to Oscar's at the Plaza. A legit good restaurant with awesome views of the Fremont Street Experience (it's where they filmed part of Casino).

Otherwise in that north strip area, the steakhouse at Circus Circus is shockingly good given the price/location, and then you could go over to the Peppermill for oldschool Vegas cocktail lounge vibe.

Just FYI, that is a lot of going back and forth. One night down there is enough for most people visiting unless they are big gamblers looking for tables with lower limits. Also be careful if you walk away from the FSE to go to other places downtown, there are a lot of panhandlers/homeless/scam artists in the area.

This is 100% great advice, don't try and go back downtown Saturday.

If you are trying to people watch at clubs stay on the strip, DTLV honestly doesn't have much on the main drag aside from whatever BS the Golden Nugget is trotting out (it was TROY or something last time in). We checked it out when it was GOLD DIGGERS and they were charging strip prices for a product orders of magnitude shittier. There will be a ton of great clubs near NYNY and Luxor is close.

As for DTLV yeah after Oscars, walk the FSE...there are some cool bars right past Neonopolis near the El Cortez. No reason to go past (or in) Container Park. If drunk don't walk too far from Fremont. If you don't care about seeing MSS/the Cal, just walk directly out from the Plaza. You can see pretty much everything in a night.

Protip: Get a drink at the 4 Queens street bar. Only get a double if a functioning alcoholic.

I stayed at the Plaza for a few days around last Halloween and the bartenders at 4 Queens got to know me by name. That's probably a bad sign. But as a drunk, that is one of the advantages of being/staying downtown vs the strip. I usually stick with beer when I am on the strip because I don't want to pay $10-15 for a mixed drink with a squirt of liquor in it, otherwise I go to one of the shops in every casino where you can get 2 tallboys and an airplane bottle for $15 or 2 of the Cutwater pre-mixed drinks in a can for $7.50. I was at NYNY last NYE and a double rum and coke was $30.

No doubt, most of my days in Vegas are sitting at various video poker bars. I got absolutely blasted my last trip by 2 PM at Casino Royale because I gave the bartender a $10 tip on a comped drink and then they kept coming about every 5-10 minutes regardless if I really needed one. And then my lunch was 3 foot long chili cheese dogs from their tiny food court, which is one of my go-to super drunk absorb the booze foods in Vegas.

The Dispensary NV, was a ~10 min cab from Luxor.
