The rioting and looting is pointless and counter-productive, but until I come up with a better alternative, I'm not going to look down my nose at them for it. The situation with police brutality in the US is fucking insane, I don't think there is a 'proper' way for the citizenry to react. To be honest, in a country with more guns than people and that much seething anger, I was amazed to see the police standing outside their station, like sitting ducks waiting to catch a bullet. Seems things aren't that bad yet though. The escalation from such an event would be more than anyone wants to deal with, I guess.
