I happen to agree with this person below from Twitter. This is probably a ploy by Trump in order to get Cuomo out so that he & the GQP can get a Trump stooge such as Lee Zeldin as Governor to pardon state charges against Trump in 2022. Gas to get to work $140 - huh?  We have a SUV that gets filled about every 2 weeks for about $30, and we live in the outer suburbs so it's a decent drive to get to a lot of places.

Bro we're paying $200+ for just insulin with Medicare. It was $48 in 2018. It was usually $0 prior to 2017. Last year the price first went to $110, then $175, then was $210. The price of food has gone up on some staple items like eggs 75%. Trips to the grocery in 2019 and early 2020 that would be $30 are now closer or over $50 for the same shit. The amount of money we pay in meds and food, the same amounts, have basically doubled in the past year. Each.

Using Numbeo to compare Phoenix with Rome's prices, it doesn't seem to be that more expensive (groceries) and looking at my own city prices reported on Numbeo, they seem to skew towards the higher side (meaning, buying bigger brands etc).

And again, what are $1400 going to do, if you're starving with 80k?
