You know how everyone likes to laugh (or be disgusted) at Xenoblade 2 character design?  Hope you didn't watch the superbowl half time show, this could almost be DLC for the game.  Everything has to keep getting racier and racier I guess (don't forget the twerk off).   At least she has human proportions I suppose, unlike Xenoblade 2.

I think it certainly doesn't help the situation imo when one of the most watched television shows does something like that.  I'm sure people look at that and use it as a bar in some way as what's acceptable.  But it's not just the superbowl, you see that kind of in a lot of prime time media, especially anything to do with modern concerts.

I will never understand the adult obsession with Disney parks but maybe I’m just a grouch. I can’t imagine standing in line with a mask on in the hot sun to ride something I’ve been on hundreds of times.

Most adults who go to the parks now the tips and tricks on how to not end up waiting in long lines. I go to Disney about 7-8 times a month and I never wait more than 20-30 minutes for anything. Usually I go, have a few drinks and a snack, go on a ride or two and leave. In and out in a few hours.

A buddy of mine went to Disneyland Paris once, and i was seething (i was always the poor kid in the group, so i was seething often), but then never got the appeal, past that age (10y old or so).

The only reason i could see someone older than 10 or 12 going, is if you're a teenager bringing their date there or an adult bring their kids.

Not even trying to shame now, just genuinely don't understand what's enjoyable about Mickey Mouse and shit as an adult.
Rollercoasters and Ferris Wheels, fair enough, but you don't need to go to DW for those.

I enjoy the attention to detail and workmanship. Like how everything is custom-designed, and the clever tricks like forced perspective. Kind of the same reason why I have no interest in Harry Potter but loved the studio tour. Most theme parks I go to are fairly utilitarian rollercoaster parks where they'll throw up some steel fencing and call it a day.

But I'm averaging a Disney park every 20 years at this point. Can't imagine doing it multiple times a week.

We went to Disneyland Paris for New Year 2019 and came back with severe flu symptoms, so there's a non-zero chance we brought COVID into the country from that petri dish
