While you say that the media should not be in the business of defending they shouldn't be in the opposite business of persecuting, unless it's an opinion piece which is clear.Journalism without the two is just lost today. I'd much rather read pieces that reported as much facts and details without an interjection of opinion first. Then if desired by the author, have a separate opinion portion of it.
