Sure, if you want to get reductive about the timetable for this specific case... But generally an insured or not under-insured population is going to be more apt to take preventative measures to deal with a highly contagious virus.  I mean, this isn't really rocket science here.

It's a crass, nonsensical and disingenuous emotional blackmail manner of presenting that argument (and in typical ERA fashion with some racial charge). The virus is spreading in countries who have better healthcare and the current contamination in the US will obviously not be impacted even if healthcare was to pass tomorrow.

Of course if better healthcare was in place, I don't disagree it would help, especially with people of lesser means (including service and retail employees in the food industry).

But "YOUR KIDS ARE GONNA DIE" is kinda lame.
