There were concerns raised about European posters acting like racism isn’t really a thing in Europe and we’re definitely going to be going a lot harder on that. It has already been a bannable offense, but there are cases where it was better hidden or hidden by rationalization where we haven’t been actioning it in the way we should have been. That is going to change going forward. Users coming into a thread going “This is racist? We do this all the time in Europe, it’s not racist” when it is in fact racist are going to get hit much harder than they have been. The same goes for other forms of dismissive behavior, such as comments that minimize the racism that occurs in Europe. Cultural differences aren’t an excuse for rationalizing, dismissing, or ignoring racism and it will be actioned as such.
