I just said you could never put uncompressed Redbook audio on a SD card, but I said if the hardware was similar to the N64, Factor 5 had a set of compression tools that would make it sound pretty damn good!

MusyX didn't get awesome output. It just elevated the N64 (and its lack of any sound hardware) from godawful to barely passable in the aural experience category. It compressed the fuck out of the samples, and you could tell -- Battle of Naboo was painfully crackly.

Battle of Naboo was just a rush job all around.  I knew the guys who worked on it, and if they wanted it to sound like the bee's knees - it would have.

Between this, Namco Museum Battle Collection, the Capcom compilations, and the Sega Genesis Collection, I think the PSP is finding a good niche in the compilation market. I'm happy.
