Replaced the Verge link with the official site. I didn't realize they had an affiliate link and I was funding those clickbait criminals.

They didn't, it runs in the browser

Imagine streaming 4k video game entertainment in your smartphone browser over Wifi

In fairness Microsoft buying Bethesda probably has more to do with this than anything about Sony and the ps5 :thinking

tbh the lineup seems much better than Stadia. Still no interest in streaming games though.

the only scenario i would consider streaming games is in hotels on trips. too bad hotel wifi is universally garbage

Idk I see this as being like their music streaming service that I imagine no one uses, seems more appealing than stadia tho :girlaff

Yeah, MS was probably eyeing that Cloud tech that id Software showed a while ago as well.

I used Amazon Music Unlimited, when they had that 6 months for 10 cents offer.
It didn't have all that much on it, as a lot of music i was interested in, was only on Amazon to buy, but not on the service, and at 9€/month is just laughable.
The service itself was fine i guess, mostly used it at home, so i can't really speak to its convenience.

The #1 problem with Stadia is the business model.
Instead of it being a simple subscription, however pricey, they want you to buy the 60$ games on their service, which is completely antithetical to the idea.
I don't want to "own" a 60$ game on a service that they may kill next week, or at least I may cancel my subscription of.

I love the idea of someone else keeping a high spec gaming pc in working order, and me playing it through a browser. The Google Graveyard, though…
