I'm just gonna say this once - ya don't beat around the bush about stuff.  Take your time and word your sentences carefully, but say straight up what you're thinking.  Letting things linger doesn't solve a daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn thing.

Confront the question about the time, don't get upset with her, that's very key.  Just speak, stay calm, ask questions, and do your thing.

I guess a good way to put it is.... Don't "whine" to her when you ask questions.  Like a "well, I mean why???  why are you doing that?"

You just ask "is there anything specific that you have going on that makes us unable to spend as much time together?" in a calm voice.  If she goes on about something big and whines and blah blah, you just say "ok, well what would you like to do?"

You do realize that during the first Crusade, the streets of Jerusalem literally RAN RED WITH BLOOD, up to the ankle, as the Christian army killed every fucking muslim they could?  You say Muslims have to prove themselves to the West?  The West has never proven themselves to Islam.  Even today, we make sweet pea deals with the rich and the oppressors for oil while the proles starve in the streets.  You think they never noticed us interfering in their world, but ignoring the cast down?  All at the same time being the great protector of Israel?  You don't get that the West has never been a positive influence on the common muslims of the middle east?  All we are to them are greedy bastards that prop up a country that stole their land.

It's also worth noting that western influences are what defined the borders on most of the nations down there.  Lands that would be more logically divided by sect were chopped up arbitrarily like a jigsaw puzzle by Westerners.  I'm sure that if things were the way they should be there, sans Western border interference, it wouldn't be nearly such a tumultuous place.  I don't think you get that in the 20th century, FoC, we basically ruined their whole fucking world.

This is what I'm saying, but look at FoC:  He thinks that they hate us for no reason.  He thinks they need to PROVE themselves to us.  Where the fuck is he coming from?  It's a situation where the west has to say "Yes, we fucked up your shit," and every western nation is too proud to say they ever did anything wrong.  Once we acknowledge our mistakes, and stop our cycle of greedily raping their economies, then we can get to making things right.

They have reasons to hate us, and they have every reason to continue hating us until we fix what western policy is doing wrong.  Forgiveness and idealized peace sound extremely nice, but it ain't gonna work when our hand is still in the cookie jar.
