"I don't understand what your high concept means..."

So we're making game draft documents, including high concepts and the details that encompass the gameplay. I got my paper back and the teacher says the high concept confuses her and she doesn't know what I mean.

The high concept is: In this game, players control an avatar through various stages that make up an arranged music video. As they shoot and platform through the level, depending on their actions the music video can be altered.

I left it at that and described the rest in the gameplay section.

I though that would be good enough for someone who actively plays games but I guess not. She doesn't understand the concept behind controlling a character in a level, and altering the stage as you go through it. What?

I'm rewriting my draft right now...gay.

A community college. Probably the reason I'm getting such shitty quality teaching, but I doubt it.

I've been evolving my GAF XNA idea since I first made it up 6 months ago. I'm still working on concept art and stuff for it.

Ah I dream the day we have an Evilbore XNA thread.

we need a graphics guy

I'm not even sure if my idea is suitable for a small number of people on a team.

ya thats my biggest problem right now; I hate my crappy little handdrawn sprites and the only other thing I would know how to do is use window class shaps to make what I want, which would look like shit   :-\
