I was all ready to go for the single disc, but I'm gonna have to end up getting the steelbook so long as the words "BEST" and "BUY" aren't plastered anywhere on the final cover.
Picked up the single disc several hours ago. Steel-bookers: have no fear, theres no BB (or in my case, Futureshop) logos to be found. The Departed DVD kiosk is a thing of beauty though. They had about 200 copies of the single disc, about 75 of the SE, then about 25 each of BRD and HD-DVD. A thing of beauty. I got the first copy

Not when its a Martin Scorsese film. Even when its a failure (ie. Kundun or Gangs of New York), its always worth a watch.
This tin case is a lot nicer than I expected it to be and the special features are pretty interesting. Not disappointed with spending the extra cash at all so far.
One thing that always gets a laugh:When Collin leaves the office in the beginning, the secretary reaches her cleavage right into the light, and gives him the sexy voice. Then she leans back, and basically grunts at DiCaprio that he "can go in there now".
IN THIS THREAD, WE LAUGH AT THOSE WHO BOUGHT THE SINGLE DISC:1. Solo2. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
I spent nearly 200 dollars in movies today
I spent nearly 200 dollars in movies today and I didn't get The Departed. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!
Never. I will never watch The Departed until you are dead, Shake. This is a call to arms to get other forumgoers to drive you to suicide.

Whatever, dude. I don't care. Go watch shitty movies with Willco and FoC while the rest of us enjoy ourselves.

I didn't think people liked Rules of Attraction.
Oh well, you know what they say about opinions...
I love you, baby. But I couldn't even watch Kids stoned. I find everything interesting when I'm stoned.
God I hate Larry Clark.

I think it's the only near slam dunk Harmony Korine and Larry Clark have been involved with. It vaguely reminds me of some public service juvenile delinquent doc from the 50s driven to ridiculous lengths of perversion (the bad acting helps sell this). Or when I hear old people bitch about teenagers, my head is immediately filled with the blatantly ridiculous stuff from Kids.
So wait, is Rules of Attraction no good? I remember it being well-received when it came out? It's my second favorite Bret Easton Ellis book, so I need to see the movie.
