Starbucks Americano -Quad is good, but how high can it go?

I got a quad today, cause the standard Americano isnt doing it for me. They suggested 5 shots of coffee instead of 4, but can it go higher?

I work at the cafe at borders (which is basically seattle's best) and the most ive given someone is 4 shots. I don't feel right giving people that much caffeine.

Are you saying that there's not enough caffeine in a quad americano, or that the espresso is too weak? If it's the former, have them pull lungo shots. They're basically an espresso shot with twice as much water run through them; more caffeine, but more bitterness. If it's the latter, ask them to pack the portafilter with more espresso when they pull their shots.

When I worked like 6am in the morning, I'd sometimes quint it, but that's the point where the crash is no longer worth the benefit for me.
