I was looking at FoC's list and there wasnt one movie on there I would wanna see. I own a crapload of movies, a lot of them are really good, but godfather? schindler's DEPRESSING list? Come on. Bleh.

Its boring and just woo mobsters or whatever. Fat guy offer cant refuse rite? I dunno I dont like mobster movies in general. I dont find anything about that era that fascinating. Only one I actually liked was Road to Perdition and even that wasnt much of a Mob movie.

Godfather is okay. Godfather 2 and 3 are total snore fests. Don't really enjoy mob movies, like, at all. Liked the Untouchables though.

Godfather is most certainly not flawless. In fact, there are good chunks which I would edit out of the film if I could do a "Dark Shake Ultimate Uber Awesome Recut" edition.

It's close to flawless imo. I suppose a small few would complain about the pacing, but it's very well done imo. Plus it starts off with two of the greatest scenes ever in movies - the confession to the Godfather and then the wedding.

The Godfather movies really have no interesting story of why the characters would kill for something other then money, other then michael corleone in one scene killing the people responsible for his father's attempted assassination.

If you want to make a crime movie that doesn't have any good guys then have it explain how the criminal organization works, did godfather do that? No, it just threw out lingo, Kisses of Death, and a mumbly fat man.

Kubrick had little control over Spartacus lol. It was more Kirk Douglas' movie than Kubrick. It is great but is the least Kubricky movie he did.
