God. People. Just get yakuza team to do it. They have ex-smilebit developers right? Well JSRF felt more like a 3d Sonic than any 3d Sonic ever did. Replace tag spraying with finding specific rings, replace the jsrf character with sonic characters, replace the cops with robots and you basically have a 3d Sonic.
It has all the criteria to be a 3d Sonic:
open ended levels, multi-tiered, lots of bonus crap like getting a bunch of characters or special tags, or do graffiti souls. The sewer level in particular made say,"Holy shit, THIS is Sonic in 3d."
But nope. Sega continues to rely on shitty Sonic Team.
