the numbers are pretty much meaningless to determining the quality of a game

people usually just use them because they're easier to combat with compared to actually reading the review and picking out select quotes.  As dumb as that Dan Hsu Gears review picture is, at least they took effort to read and highlight the thing.

I just got through that thread and holy shit, I had a call out for my old internet persona (Viper) back in the good ole days on Dave's Sega Saturn message boards.  I don't remember anything, but apparently I posted that Goldeneye is "the best FPS ever" and that was the official thread for Goldeneye, which is pretty much how official threads should be.  Keep in mind that I barely played PC FPS games at the time, so consoles were my only point of reference.
