I don't see a problem here. RPG is a terrible genre but somehow the early pokemon games managed to take the staples of the genre and make something both personal and engrossing in an approachable package. If they ever revert back to evolution strings that aren't asinine I'd probably play the game forever and ever.

I'm highly considering a co-op in something like Douglaston or Forest Hills... debating either the co-op in Queens (Brooklyn is too far a commute), or a condo nearby where I live now in Suffolk. The condo would require me to save a bit more... living at home ain't really too bad though, at the moment.

I make about USD$60-70k a year and live in a modest 3 bedroom house that I'll pay off within 10 years. If I lived in an expensive part of Australia (like a capital city) I'd probably only be able to afford a small apartment too.

I have been saving like a motherfucker but it is great knowing that you could have a shopping spree and still have five figures left in the bank account. I wouldn't be able to do that if I had a big house. Plus I think home ownership is vastly overrated, as seen by our financial near meltdown.

I don't think it's overrated at all (but I don't live where you live so I don't know the mindset of people there). At the end of the day I'll take the cheaper option, which can be renting or owning depending on circumstance.
