I've seen half of that movie like three times. I fall asleep every time; I know it's high art or something, but it's got the vibe of the short film in any animated festival that puts everyone to sleep, EXCEPT IT'S A YEAR LONG.

Taken in small disjointed doses, Savage Planet can be pretty awesome - at least while you're high. I remember being at a bar in Amsterdam and they were intercutting Savage Planet clips with some nature show about iguanas on a giant screen. Tripping balls.

But I agree, just watching the movie by itself is really kind of boring. I'd still like to have that poster though! ;p

I actually haven't seen it in years, but I still love the artwork and imagery used in it. It really is some bizarre, avant garde 70s stuff. The OST is great. Though in its defense of just being avant garde, the plot is totally comprehensible and kinda interesting.

This poster was a lucky grab on ebay. There's a Japanese seller that sells Japanese movie posters of films outside of asia. Some of them sell for a lot, but I think nobody noticed this one since it was under "La Planete Sauvage" instead of "Fantastic Planet." Still ran me about $50...it's gotta be pretty damn rare.

I might be mistaken but I think Le Planete Sauvage is the proper title of the film....I think. The English dubbed one is called Fantastic Planet but I'm sure it's a hell of a lot more rare to get a poster of it with the French title!

And yeah, those posters are pretty incredible. I'm tempted to lay a bid down a bid for that Fantastic Planet poster myself but with it currently sitting at $350, I better wait 'til I get off work so I can get permition. lol

Yeah, that's pretty tempered, for a NeoGAF official thread. And I doubt the creator is going to be in the credits of the game, so that's a plus. Not that I will spend much time in there; the official thread for the first one managed to be worse with the trollspotting and fanboy defense than even a Halo thread, and that's saying something.

It's usually mid-October, so far no word on early ad leaks. But I'm sure they will have it. They had their annual Geoffrey Days on Lego and Building Blocks that they do annually.
