Am I wrong in being kinda irked that he is playing the 'holier than thou' card and telling people not to be friends with pirates? I find it stupid to kill off a friendship because someone downloads some games off Pirate Bay.

Agreed.

Considering how most teens and young adults pirated something in their lives (usually MP3s), he would be effectively shunning most of his peers. Which would be fine because I'm sure they shunned him first.

He is right but yeah, whenever you have to use the "just wait until it comes out before judging, k?" or the "well, it isn't out for another three months. we don't know if it will be a buggy pos or not!", you are typically a blind fanboy who, once the game is released, will just apply generous damage control to the numerous flaws the game has that everyone else caught before the release.
