I refused to go, despite being asked by three chicks. My senior year I was asked by my good friend at the time and I said no, although she said she really wanted to be there with me. I don't like those kinds of events. I'm not a party guy, I hate the music played at those places, and I can't stand dressing up.

My mom actually works as a chaperone at some of the public high school proms and she said she was "disgusted" at the behavior she witnessed

Anyway, I went without a date. Most of my good friends were there and I got along with most of the girls in my class, so I had a lot of fun at prom. Even the teachers who went were dancing with each other and having fun.

My other friends who didn't go to prom showed up at the after party, so no one was left out.

PD, stop being a lil' bitch! Who gives a fuck what music is playing when some chick is grinding on you?

Well it was never like that, although on a couple occassions she told me she wanted to have a relationship with me, and was willing to wait. I turned her down...

Any normal person sees a prom as a overhyped event that everybody just goes to see, so they go to it.

They don't hype the people that go to it, they hype the event.

I didn't go because I didn't really give a shit. People can say stuff like,"Oh but the memories!!!" which, at the time, I felt was something only the women gave a shit about it.

Looking back on it, I wish I went to the prom and kinda feel like a dolt and taco for not going.

Graduation made up for that though. After party for graduation was amazing.

I went each year. I never went to a real afterparty though, which is the only thing that disappoints me.

I went to a party where there was drinking after the prom when I was a sophomore, but I didn't drink for a number of reasons:
1. My mom was picking me up at like 1 so I could wake up for work at 6 [SUCKED!]
2. The guy I went with was kinda creepy
3. I don't think Ecro would have liked it one bit. I didn't go to that prom with him even though we were dating.

I did love my proms, though. I guess part of me is all girly and loves to get dressed up and have her hair done and all. I clean up nicely.

This year'd be my first Prom, but I don't really want to go with the person I'm actually going with. She's a good friend and all, but she's going to want to get baked and drunk even before the dance starts and I don't want to feel like I'm fucking responsible for her all night. I'm just not looking forward to the hassle. Afterwards though, it should be fun.

I only went to prom as a senior, but I went to homecoming all four years of high school. Prom was a really weird experience, but still pretty fun.
