hey blue, either you or any of the talented others in the photography thread needs to put up a tutorial or at least direct (me lol) to where i can get some! i'm far from even being an amateur atm, but it's something i definitely wanna explore.

I've got what can now be considered a fairly cheap DSLR nowadays but it has a great lens on it (which I used in that portrait shot).

The colors and stuff was a mixture of Digital Picture Profession (Canon software) and Alien Skin (helps emulate old type of films and tones).

If I have time, I probably will write up a tutorial. Mainly the basic Post Processing I would do on any photo (Software used, resizing, sharpening, color correction, etc). Its a real fun process, if your into it.

when did you start taking capoeira classes, hyoushi? i've always thought it looked super interesting, and it's amazing in practice. i feel like it's too late for me to start learning any martial arts though, even though i've always wanted to do it.

I'm not hyoushi, but I took some beginner classes and I'm 27. Like any martial art you learn it at your pace and interest and don't worry about your age. I saw some 40 year old beginners in the classes I took. I could not continue due to time constraints.

I've been training for 7 years. had a little lapse when I moved down here four years ago, been with my current group since mid-2005. I started when I was 21.

Ya, I'd check out Capoeira Gerais in that case. Mestre Mão Branca affiliated, should be good. Seems like he has been there to hold workshops as well. Great songs in that academy
