Lord of the Rings: I've been a complete fanboy of the series ever since reading the books. All three movies are amazing to me, and I'll defend them until I die
Harry Potter:This one is pretty obvious. As I've said before, the Potter books actually mean something to me. They're more than just fantasy kid stuff to me. This July is going to be rather sad due to the ending of the series, but at the same time I can't wait to find out what happens to the characters who I've come to know and love for so long.
Marvel Comics:I was raised to be a Marvel fanboy. When I was little my dad taught me all the various theme songs from the old Marvel heroes cartoons lol. When I got older I'd head to Kroger and get the latest X-Men comics. I remember hating DC Comics as a kid; now I respect them, although I'm still not a fan of that particular universe. Wolverine has been my absolute favorite comic character for at least 13 years.
Shaq!Shaquille O'Neal has been my favorite professional athelete since my introduction to basketball so many years ago. When he was with Orlando, they were my favorite team - and I remember almost crying when Houston swept them in the finals. When he went to LA they automatically became my favorite team; on many occassions I remember screaming at the TV, yelling for Kobe to pass the damn ball to the big man (back when the
NBA was on NBC! ). Even now I still root for the Big Aristotle
ZeldaI got into Zelda kinda late, at least compared to most people here. My first Zelda game was Link's Awakening. At the time I had a Gameboy, but didn't have the game. When I first played the game at my friend's house I was instantly blown away. It wasn't just the simple yet challenging gameplay, or the stunning music - everything about the game was clicked. I've beaten that game countless times, and I still love it as well as the series in general.
There are other things I really like, and am quite biased about - such as Led Zeppelin, Chris Cornell, and GI Joe - but I won't include them in the list
