okay fine, the descriptions of each sign may sound pretty general -- and sometimes i think i read too deeply into things, but for the most part, shit has been spot on.  go ahead and laugh, yea i'm a naive idiot.  oh, and i'm a cancer.  be nice, i'm supposed to be sensitive.

Daily astrology you get off a website or something is crap.  It's not enough to know what day you were born..you always have to figure in where, what time, and what year if you want a real astrological profile.

My mom did this stuff her whole life and it was a LOT more math than I was ever willing to learn, but...she made birth charts for practically everyone in our family and when she died I was going through them. 

They are FREAKY how spot on they are.  My cousin's birth chart predicted she would fuck her cousins, for instance - and she did.  Mine was too eerie to even think about.

The moon isn't even a planet, and where it is affects our entire ocean.  Is it really so farfetched to believe the positions of planets might affect people, too?

I think the real folly is probably thinking we understand the effects.

yeeaaaah, it really is ridiculous. how would it affect -people- indepdent of geography? sure, sunlight levels and seasonal climate shifts can create changes in seratonin and dopamine levels, but that's usually a regional thing. astrology suggests the "mystical" and any connection between celestial events and human genetics/biochemistry is purely speculative in a way that brings to mind unicorns and magickael zwackery moreso than actual scientific correlation. besides, anything that suggests a numinous human condition (lolz soulz) makes me giggle.

I'd like to think its bullshit but what is weird is that I got a tarot reading in college for shits and giggles (a friend of mine was one of these "pagan" girls obsessed with all celtic stuff that you were talking about in an earlier post). And the lady said that I would get into a fulfilling relationship with a girl named Terri who was shorter than me with dark brown hair. And I have been seeing a girl now that fits that description.
