360, imo, is a bit of a letdown in that area.

just my opinion.

i think, when coded to its strengths, the ps3 gives an experience you just can't get on the 360.

which is why i'm pulling for its success.

i'm not a fanboy, nor do i have emotional attachment to a piece of plastic, but i love gaming -- and the ps3, for next-gen, is where gaming needs to be.

I want the 360 to be more successful off the board because, aside from the hardware issues which should have been fixed (grr), it's doing a damn fine job securing exclusives, it has an insanely robust online network, XBLA has a decent amount of content and certainly more than PSN, and I haven't really seen any PS3 game that's more impressive than Gears, and the system is $200 cheaper.

ps3, in its first few months, had games as impressive.

motorstorm, technically, is just as impressive as gears, if not more so.

Well I disagree, I think that the graphics on the 360 are very good.

As for gameplay, the xbox 360 has a much larger and more varied library than the PS3, and the controller is top notch unlike the PS3's where it sometimes loses the signal briefly.

it's also been out over a year longer.

and as far as gfx, the system doesn't meet -- on average -- what i expect of next-gen visuals.

yeah, you have your occasional looker, but a lot of the shit coming to the system (exclusive stuff) just isn't impressive.

look at forza 2, made by microsoft, for an example.

its visuals are an embarrassment.
