If its not the old BC unit dont bother. Im sure Sony will get desperate again, strip some other feature, and lower the price again. Id actually recommend a Wii over a non-BC PS3 right now, and thats just bad.

The Gamestops near me are never stocked... with anything. You better pre-order it or get it after the hype has calmed down... or from somewhere else. I usually just get it somewhere else.

I started going to the one TVC frequents and aside from one seasonal hire they've been great. I even got a free disgaea psp guide when I traded in a bunch of crap :D

Kmart does. If they don't have a 60 gig, I'm not gonna bother. Plus, mah PS2 is beginning to artifact. It locked up the other night. :(

That's awesome. Maybe it's because I never trade anything in. If I go to a gamestore, I usually go to Gamecrazy. People there just seem a lot more personable.
I do like that they don't ask me to pre order and buy mags and whatnot now.
Are the Gamestop trade-ins any better than they were a few years ago? I stopped because of how bad they screwed you.

I like gamecrazy, but the one near me gets psp pre-orders 2-3 days later because of some 'quickturn' (ha ha) system, and they dont have a good selection of used titles or PC games, so ive started hitting Gamestop.
I got a decent chunk of change for my trade ins last week plus they had some trade in deal on 360/ps3 games and edge members get a bit extra iirc.

Yeah, I've noticed that GC seems to get things a few days late. I hardly ever buy on release date so it hasn't been a problem for me.
I usually go to GC if I'm looking for really old titles. My GC has an incredible amount of used NES and SNES games... but yet, they don't sell any used DC games LOL
Since I'm broke this week, I'll probably trade some stuff in. I need CoD4!

As long as you don't share, you should be good. LP does record all EDGE card usage; a couple of employees have been canned for sharing cards.

Well my issue is why do I even put money down to get a game late? I dont see the logic of it. I am ensuring I get a copy two days after everyone else? Plus the 'quickturn' policy as a name is ridiculous

I could definitely see that. During those 2 days you could just go get it somewhere else. That's what I usually end up doing with pre orders anyways. I forget I preorder it though.

trade-in values seem to be better at GC, so i usually just use them for that purpose. got the MVP card and all for an extra boost.
