Jay And Silent Bob Reboot: Was very much what Kevin Smith has been saying about it- that's a sequel, reboot, remake, and parody of all three all in one. Pretty stupid, goofy fun and the kind of thing you'll want to watch if you liked all the older "Viewaskewniverse" stuff that ended with Clerks II. Has a lot of the same people back playing the same roles and lines referencing previous moves or slightly changed-up from what was said years ago. You can tell this was made on a low budget and I suspect that's why this "road movie" cuts out what should have been a huge chunk of travel hi-jinx and gets to Hollywood faster than expected. The plot also feels kind of rushed. This doesn't really matter for Jay and Bob, but Harley Quinn Smith as Jay's daughter and friends just sort of do a pretty blunt sympathetic character turn all of a sudden at one point. It also gets super, super cheesy when they get to the comic-con parody that makes up for the last act of the movie...but it's OK considering what this movie is. The credits show a lot of stuff that was cut out of the movie and then ends with years-old footage of Stan Lee and (fat) Kevin Smith having fun.

Also- I don't usually go watch movies in the middle of the week, and not usually alone, but nobody else was gonna go see this and I read it was only playing for two nights, so battled traffic and just made it to the show. Then before the movie plays, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes come on for a pre-show roadshow talk-thing and Smith goes "Welcome to the sneak preview! We're touring and showing the movie, then talking about it around the country, and when we come to your city the movie will open up at all the theaters in your area!"

But hey, they gave out a free movie poster.
