Master of Puppets to St Anger.  Yeah Metallica takes the cake with ease. :'(

I was going to make a thread like this and Incubus was my pick, too.

RHCP is another one.

Whatever rock band you put up that has 'fallen off' a rapper has fallen further.

The correct answer is Rod Stewart.  From an early consideration for The Kinks' vocalist, a member of the Jeff Beck Group, then joining up with The Small Faces and Ronnie Wood to form The Faces and, in addition to the group's excellent output, making a number of great 'solo' records with their backing, to... well, Rod Stewart today.

The transition.  This:

If S.C.I.E.N.C.E. had never existed, would anyone look at Morning View or Light Grenades and say "damn, this band sucks"? Hell no, they would just hear some good mellow music with occasionally cheesy lyrics, but good vocals and instrumentation. Good music to smoke a blunt to on a Sunday afternoon. Very little of the music is actually bad, it's just not what funk-rock fans wanted. From a musical standpoint, it's just as creative and complex as their earlier work. If you talk to Incubus fans who became fans with Make Yourself and not S.C.I.E.N.C.E., you'll find that they all tend to agree with me.

You've got to be fucking kidding me. Incubus now is just as deep and complex, and hell, as entertaining as Nickelback. Its generic top 40 rock. Incubus then was an INCUBUS that liked exploring lightly worn paths of music. Incubus now is formulaic and bland.

Claiming I wouldn't think so bad of Incubus had SCIENCE never come out, is distinguished mentally-challenged. I wouldn't have minded if they went and made a whole CD with songs like Drive. I love mellow music. But its just not good music at all. And they've shown that they are capable of doing it, like Summer Romance, but they just don't. They want to be the Rock and Roll Backstreet boys, and that's fine. Their music is obviously aimed at a female 14-20 year old audience. But don't tell me their music is just as complex as it was back then.

Smashing Pumpkins is a good one.  Billy Corgan is now shilling for the Ticketmaster/Live Nation merger.  What's next, endorsing pedophilia?

 :lol wow

So did the most recent Incubus have to buy the name from the other band? back in the 90's there was a metal band named Creeper and they were sued to change their name since there was a Florida rapper who went by the name DJ Creeper.

Spare me your personal opinion choice at what you think it should be. smh

Instead of an indifferent emote, you could have just posted your link to said band.

Oh shit I thought this was made for that Cadillac Records movie. The fact that it was outright on an album  of his makes it even worse. 'Greatest man alive' my ass

Some bands that fell off way more than Incubus or the Chili Peppers:

Korn
AFI
The Killers
Nine Inch Nails

I beg to differ.  The Killers were never good in the first place.
