Looking at that list, it's not as varied as I was hoping.

I mean, they got tons of Fela Kuti, Marvin Gaye and Miles Davis. It's like, damn, put some Gill Scott-Heron on that list or something.

I'm convinced pitchfork knows jack shit about black music looking at their top lists, not that their 70's choices are bad - Bitches Brew, Zombie, and and What's Going On are that damn good. But those are predictable.

But their list of rock is crazy on the 70's list, so I don't have much to complain about.

Maybe someone here can help me out. I was driving to an appointment the other day and a song came on the radio that I caught the tail end of and never found out who it was. If would've been thinking properly I would've used my iPhone to identify it, but whatever, didn't happen. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the singer was female and it kind of had a poppy electronic sound to it with a chorus of what sounded like school kids singing either "no, no, no" or "ah, ah, ah". I believe one line of the song went something like, "Is this all I'm going to be?" to which the chorus responded "No, no, no". I tried to google that and came up with fuck all. Someone asked a similar question on Yahoo! or somewhere like that and someone responded with Pink but that's not what I'm looking for. God fucking help me if this ends up being from someone like Miley Cyrus.

Liking it more on the second try; initially I thought it was alright, but with repeat listens it resonates more.

What would possess me to download a U-God album? Well, a couple of my friends said it was good. It's not. There are some good guest appearances by Ghost/Rae/etc but ultimately...it's U-God's album which isn't a good thing. His bouncy, melodic Dr. Seuss rhymes have worked on certain songs throughout the years, but here it's just annoying. About to take it off my iPod smh

It's actually just a remastered version with a couple extra tracks. And if I remember right, all the extra tracks are just a few underwhelming radio sessions. The remastering isn't that great, but it is still sharper then the original, and the difference is easily noticeable with headphones
