Yeah, it's not bad. I'm not a big fan of The Strokes but this has a few decent songs. Love the single, 11th Dimension.

It's not as good as I was expecting with all the hype that's been going around. It's a wonder he was able to pull it off as often as he does though, especially on that single.

Sometimes it uses a little too much keyboard, a little too much guitar in parts where the album doesn't need it. The second half of the album is significantly worse than the first half. It's fun though. Really miss a legitimate Strokes release though

Regarding the Casablancas album: I'm not really feeling the more synth-y stuff, especially Left & Right in the Dark and River of Brakelights

I agree that 4 Chords of the Apocalypse is easily the best track on the album, even though I think it's about a minute too long

yeah, I had Bocmaxima, Twoism, and something unlabeled back in the day...gonna dl em again right now in fact. I remember it being a little more retro synthy, but a little less interestingly produced. I still think Music and Geogaddi are the sweet spot (Campfire Headphase is just not nearly as interesting or challenging, though it is very chill.)

Was looking over iTunes essentials "Blue Eyed Soul" and was reminded of Lisa Stansfield (you probably know her "All Around the World" track). God she was gorgeous... she's aged gracefully too (which isn't surprising). She's got a very pure voice.
