this sort of hyper editing style actually kinda irritates me but i like most of the sounds in there (especially slap bass!)
the slow jam You and I (@4.18) holds the most promise for me i think, sounds like jimmy jam + the lewis

have Islands done anything since Arm's Way? i was a bit disappointed by how pedestrian the arrangements were on that one after the tropical splendor of Return to the Sea.

Turn on the Bright Lights was fantastic and Antics was pretty decent, but I didn't care much for the last two Interpol albums. Love Banks' voice and this seems considerably better than his last solo effort.

Two other albums, both very different from Return to the Sea and Arm's Way.

Vapours:

A Sleep & A Forgetting

Vapours is fucking great. Much more like the Unicorn stuff than Islands, very fun and not at all sweeping and generically robust like Arm's Way. A Sleep and a Forgetting is sparse with singles but a very enjoyable listen, and very personal in relation to Thorburn. It's subtle but a very good listen.

The sun was setting, birds were flying everywhere, and big storm clouds were hovering out it in the distance.

It was pretty surreal.
