this album fucking rules. I missed this era of Hardcore (I listen to a lot of stuff circa 1997 and 2003 onward) but this mix series is from 1999 and you can really hear the sound evolving with current dance trends.

Hey, I'm going to Coachella for the first time and I've got 2 weeks (2nd weekend) to discover and come to like more bands from the Coachella lineup:

My Friday is pretty full, but I don't many Saturday bands and even fewer Sunday bands so I wanna start listening to some of the best ones and get familiar with their material.

Tried listening to Beach House tonight and didn't like it. Too slow and ambient, kind of boring for me. Listening to Bat for Lashes right now and it ain't bad.

I sort of felt that way about them at first (pretty but kind of boring) but I came around after repeated listenings to Teen Dream to the point where that was one of my favourite releases of 2010. However I still haven't listened to Bloom all the way through for some reason.

Spotify makes this so easy. I just load up albums and discover if I like bands. I think I've gotten into more bands in the last year with Spotify than I have in the last 10 years from mix cds and stuff. I stopped listening to the radio after high school and never used Pandora or anything, so finding new good bands was tough. Spotify makes it so easy

New Ordcer is a must unless there's somebody else you inexplicably care more about when they're playing which you shouldn't cause seriously man, New fuckin' Order!

Stone Roses are forever worshiped in the UK on account of their first LP so they may be a fun set to check out just to see if you think the reverence is deserved.

I like Ozzy on the verses but the chorus sounds like it would have worked 30 years ago when he could pull it off. Very nice semi bass solo though, some nice riffs, eh not a bad track.
