Caught a bit of a Seinfeld ep yesterday, The Subway, and I can't recall an episode where LD's voice was screaming through every character so clearly. Not just LD, but Curb Larry, as if that episode could be remade with Larry in every main role and it'd be nearly exactly the same.

Also finished the original TV run of Gilmore Girls last night. Despite Amy Sherman-Palladino being gone from the show in the final season, and the show VERY much being in her voice from the jump, the final season was actually more enjoyable and Gilmore Girls-y than the 5th season, which was the absolute worst of the series by a lot. I will say in general, the show takes a dip once Rory goes off to college as the whole premise of the show then gets changed to have fewer and fewer Lorelai/Rory interactions until it gets to a point where they go half a season of not interacting at all because they're fighting. That coincides with Logan being introduced and a lot of the Stars Hallow regulars being largely absent, and I fucking hate the Logan character immensely. Also all of the plots around him. Easily the worst and least likable of all of Rory's romantic interests. At least we got to see Jess grew up and became a writer and responsible, happy young man

The finale definitely sucked. Very rushed, very out of nowhere, unsatisfying, almost every plot point and side character left dangling. I think the show really peaks in season 2 and everything after is a still delightful decline, except for season 5 which is a bummer all around, but there is a nice rebound for seasons 6-7.
