I got food poisoning from eating at Chili's last weekend.     Stomach's been bothering me all week, finally went to the doctor yesterday after thursday was just awful.  Thought an Imodium caplet would help, but it ended up making things worse and the pain was so severe I almost went to the ER.  Now I feel 100% better.  Hungry as hell and can't sleep because of it, but also need to watch what I eat right now.  I got a weeks' worth of medicine, but I really do feel completely normal now.  The pills they gave me are really strong.  Got a little dizzy after taking the first one.

i was out shopping for food today. typically i just wander around the general vicinity where my mother is currently shopping. we turned into an isle and encountered two person family, a mother and her daughter. i noticed that the daughter seemed to be looking in my direction but i was mostly oblivious and staring at random foods on the shelves. my eyes did catch hers and we both smiled towards each other. eventually we both moved on.

a little bit later we were at the other end of the store and we crossed paths with the mother from the other family. this time she greeted my mom and they started talking. apparently they knew each other from a long time ago. and apparently the daughter was someone i knew from a long time ago as well. thats why she smiled, she knew me. now her face did seem vaguely familiar to me but for the life of me i couldnt remember who she was.

at this point, a normal person would probably walk over to the daughter and strike up a conversation. find out who she is and how they remember her. possibly exchange pleasantries and maybe even phone numbers so they can catch up.

unfortunately i'm not a normal person. instead i spent the remaining time at the store walking around trying to remember who the daughter was on my own. eventually leaving and never really finding out.


it wasn't until i was walking back into my house when i realized how big of an opportunity i missed.
