Was Darksiders from Activision?  If so, the ports will keep on coming.  Activision will milk a game any way it can.

GoHastings.com has free shipping today only with the code FREESHIP on used games. In addition they've got most of their stuff marked down by 20%. I picked up some older stuff that I had been wanting to try for dirt cheap. There's a shit ton of X Box games that come out to be $1.70 each.

Not gaming related, but iTunes is having a sale on BBC seasons for $10 each. Seeing as how the BluRays sell for $70 a season for Doctor Who, $10 is a steal.

Red Dead Redemption  Undead Nightmare is reduced from 800 to 600 points for today, so $7.50

Enjoyable 5 or so hours of zombie killing.  More if you're into the challenges.

Gamefly's end of the year Christmas sale starts today. Hopefully they'll discount quite a few games. The free shipping doesn't hurt either.

yeah, i got a dozen hours out of it, but i did a lot of fucking around in the game world

also, the co-op undead horde mode is a helluva lot of fun, someone always breaks weak and leaves everyone else to die towards the end :lol

I went ahead and picked up Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Darkest of Days, and Alan Wake.

I'd been waiting on Darkest of Days. It's so terrible but it's worth $9.99 just to mow down Civil War soldiers with a futuristic minigun.

That really sucks. I had been looking at last year's deals to get an idea for prices and there's a bunch of games they've got listed for $14.99 this year that were $9.99 last year. Gamefly's sale is pretty much a bust. :(

Meh, all of the decent deals on Gamefly are for PS3 games, most of which I already own. Not sure what I was expecting though, there's not really any games I want to buy in the first place. A deal on the new NFS game would have been nice I suppose.

The upcoming XBLA deals look good though. Gonna buy Hydro Thunder, Limbo, and maybe Sonic 4. And maybe the ME2 dlc.

Interesting. Shame you need a kindle to read it.

Is there anyway to read kindle book files on a PC like a .pdf?  Any Kindle emulators?

Ok, cool.  Picked it up for a buck.

The reader is kind of too barebones?  The only thing I want out of a reader is to show the text and have page numbers so I can see where I am in the book.  I don't see anyway to get page numbers with this >_<

Hey, can any of the j-gaffers pick me up a 10000yen PSN point card and I'll pay them back through paypal?  I need to get some points and Play-Asia wants $150 for one even though the current exchange rate is more like ~$120.  That's a pretty ridiculous overhead and I'd rather avoid it.

Man, Nail'd for $10 seems is an awesome deal if you're into racing games like that.

http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-naild/17-3541/

Even for $10 I can't see it being worth it.  This video is probably more entertaining the whole game.

From that video I got that you can't see the track when you're in the air so you land out of bounds all the time.  Well that and if you boost more than you're supposed to before a jump you'll fly too high and run head first into a sign or something.

I dunno, the track design seems very very poor and high speed unrealistic racing is one of my favorite genre.

I only have a 512 card and I maybe get 25-30fps at 1080p and I can't use the high quality textures because they're limited to 1gb 3d cards or higher  :\

Plus no anti-aliasing KILLS the visuals imo.  The way the city is rendered makes everything so jaggy and you can't clear it up with AA.

10 years from now I will play GTAIV PC when I have a 32gb 3d card that lets me supersample the game to get rid of the jaggies and run it at 60fps.
