Yep. For the first dozen or so pages, duckroll seemed to be the main mod reading the thread, and while the situation was crazy, the thread was mostly sane. Amir0x came in, and started claiming that the whole thing was bullshit. Now, there was a high chance at the time that it was bullshit, but because it was Amir0x, it was bullshit THIS IS FACT IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH ME YOU'RE A FUCKING MORON and the thread turned into some sort of pathetic witch hunt. A couple posters pointed out that he was being fucking ridiculous and got banned. Socreges pointed out exactly what was wrong with the thread and was laughed off by not just Amir0x, but also other posters. Of course because a mod is saying this, tons of posters flock to the same side of the argument and start defending Amir0x, which was just as incredibly pathetic to witness as it sounds. It was a fifty page thread argument over nothing. I can't believe I read the whole thing.

I am so sorry I caused you concern for being too blunt about people's gullibility.  But I was totally wrong about Jbaird.  You'll be happy to know that JBaird posted at that other forum that she was found ALIVE AND WELL only the reason none of the details made sense is because there really was a crash (with not just her sister now, but also her nephew) and his GF was apparently uninjured.  Except that she blacked out and "woke up" at some mysterious friends house with virtually no recollection of where her sister and nephew went, even now they're still missing (there's no news article about this now six days after this event happened, of course).  Now when she woke up at this friends house magically with no memory of anything and no injuries, she told her friend to go on myspace and update all the people who were concerned about her well being.  Rather than use the phone for some reason.

Of course we should keep the sister and her nephew in our prayers because after this I can't believe I ever allowed myself to be so mean to gullible-GAF.  I have already moved to unpermaban JBaird.

Aside from just being well-written and funny, there are two things that I like about Hark, a Vagrant and both have to do with the art. The first is the facial expressions, which the artist absolutely nails every single time. They're just so well-done and perfectly accentuate the humor, in part, I think, because the strip is hand-drawn and then scanned, it forces the artists to get it right the first time instead of using a digital editor to continually tweak until the faces are "perfect". The other is the hands, which I didn't even think about before until this was pointed out to me. Every virtually every single panel, a character's hands are doing SOMETHING. They're never just sitting idly at the character's side or even just raised half-heartedly. The faces and the hands really add so much to the humor, it's so weird.

There is no history beyond my disdain for his criminality.

For me to describe how easy it would be for me to best him in a hand-to-hand combat situation does not necessitate any special animosity towards him.

I can easily state that I can defeat around 96% of RCMP officers based upon my defensive tactics training experience at the training academy, but it doesn't mean I have any special animosity towards those I can best in such a situation.  I went through training in a troop of 28 people, including myself.  There was only 1 person among them whom I could not submit within 1 minute, and he had 50 lbs of muscle on me.  It sounds like boasting, but I don't intend it to be.  I have elite MMA training, and anyone with the same training experience as me would have the same capabilities as me.  Those who do not, would have very little chance against me, no matter how many weekends they get into bar fights.  'tis just the facts of life.

If someone asks "Boogie, can you beat so-and-so's ass", my logical response is "yes", regardless of my feelings towards them.
