Don't want Plasma-- my brother got a cheaper 40-something inch Plasma for $800 few months back, and I hated the way it looked, actually. I wanted a cheap LCD. This one has gotten some very good ratings and seemed like a steal for the price. It's an IPS instead of a TN Panel. One of my buddies has the Panny 3D Plasma set that's CNET's top-rated plasma; I don't care about 3D but the picture was awesome. I'd take that, but it was also like $2,400.

42" IPS for $500 seems like a real steal. There are 24" IPS monitors that cost way more than that.

If you care mostly about gaming, then a LCD is the wiser choice although I prefer a plasma's picture quality. It's better to not have to worry about burn-in and image retention. They're not major problems anymore but they've not been completely eliminated either.

or when you've watched the world cup everyday for over a month at a 4:3 image because you didn't have an hd receiver, causing the tv to retain the grey borders for over a week once it was over

Even my Uncle's Kuro (final version) had IR after my cousin recklessly played COD on it for almost a day without switching to anything else.

It's still there if you look carefully on certain material, so I guess it progressed from IR to burn-in.

IR is still an issue on plasma? Back when I had my plasma, I could game on it all day and then use the wipe feature or whatever that went over it with a white bar and it was gone.

It's not a big issue but you still have to be a little careful about it Just don't do anything dumb like keeping on a static pic for 5 straight hours.

the first sunday of every month im going to go to an all day long carbine shoot at this great range that has everything from a 400 yard rifle range down to shoot houses with pop out targets and everything else in between. since its a carbine shoot youve got to stow your pistol somewhere right?

The TV I bought still hasn't arrived...the shitty weather is over, but it really screwed up deliveries.

What's a motion comic? I mean, I know what the format is, but relating to the game is it a feature or is it just a "Previously in Mass Effect" summary of ME1?

There was a used copy with prime shipping for $53, so I paid about $43 total. There are some new copies left for $49.99, but no prime shipping = no order. 3rd party booksellers always use slow ass media mail.

Not a bad price, considering I sold a copy for $250 at christmas time and wanted to replace it.

Went a bit crazy today

as you can see the carpet care machines are where its at. Thank you costco for having the DC25 for regular price with all the attachments I wanted. I cleaned with our old vacuum then used the dyson and was like OMG. Decided that cause of it I'd move some furniture around and clean up so thats when I got to thinking. Maybe I should just steam the carpets and clean them that way. I'm much happier than I was a day before. Now if only I can find a good place to put my clothing in I'll be done with spring cleaning before its even spring.

I tend to think the little toy GTR and Apex car guide is worth about $28. The game is just a nice coaster.
