Bright Memory: Infinite looks like Bulletstorm. I'm mildly interested because it won't have CliffyB and "DICKTITS" cringe writing on it.

Shit is completely fucked up, and now this trailer screams "we're abandoning Generation Zero since it didn't sell well to do this" while I'm seeing this as "we need to scam people a second time to float since we're an Avalanche offshoot" and all I can think is: You should've just done Just Cause 6.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon/Yakuza 7: A re-tread of Yakuza 1's story (beat for beat nearly based on this trailer) just now with an ATB-bar.  (*silently wishlist it and hopefully it'll turn my opinion on the series around*)

is there any other hobby out there with such consistently miserable fans as gaming? like imagine if a movie buff saw a movie they hated and then spent the next 16 fucking years searching out online discussions to talk about how that movie was the worst piece of shit they ever saw, all the actors in it were terrible, the movie studio committed some unforgivable sin by releasing it, the fans were idiots, and the entire medium itself has been on a decline since the film's release. that's what it's like talking to a fucking gamer.

As in, the people that treated gamer gate as a serious issue, and the incel droves that demanded fair videogame journalism, to the point of starting a harassment campaign.

EDIT: Some people were expecting "bombs" for some reason, i personally wasn't, but i was looking forward to a showcase of a graphical jump for next gen, yet what they showed (which was mostly AA, admittedly) was very much NOT that, and i'd challenge anyone to guess those were next gen graphics if not advertised as such.
So yeah, it was a completely pointless showcase of a couple of mediocre trailers for some middle of the road games, and showed nothing (i hope) of what this generational jump is supposedly going to look like.

Red Alert 1/2/3. Command and Conquer. And then tapped out. I have never played or seen an actual game of Fortnite though outside of "streamer compilations" or some quick tweet or something. I got 26/60. The ones I missed that I should've known were Super Metroid, Quake (I guessed Doom or Halo, forgot the other major FPS series), and Max Payne. I've played Portal, Dark Souls, and SH2 but don't really remember their sound effects.

Like, there was no way I was getting Heroes of Might and Magic, Counter Strike Global Offensive, or Age of Empires  And one of the games on the list (Enter the Gungeon) I never even heard of before.

I only recently watched the 'Inside Xbox' game reveal. Really underwhelming, but not at all surprising really. Obviously the coronavirus hasn't helped, but also the games shown for the most part looked like what they probably are, multiplatform releases. It won't be for while I think that we see something truly next-gen. Something built entirely from the ground up for the next-gen consoles.

And unlike the previous gen, this should be a huge leap forward. And I don't think last-gen graphics were all that bad, when all was said and done. The hardware is way more cutting edge this time around though. So at some point they should really impress in terms of graphics.

I forget the EXACT reasons /m/ hates it, but it had to do with how piss-poor the launch was (buggy, unfinished, etc). I dunno if the developers ever fixed half the issues /m/ had with it, but I just know everytime MW5 is brought up, the general response is "NOPE. Go replay MW1-4 and forget 5 exists, keep your happy memories."

owning is overrated these days.

also after a couple hours with the game it seems...well it's very attractive and it has the right "feel". the mechs control well and the combat feels satisfying. but the ai is pretty braindead on both sides and i've had to restart missions a few times when the game just breaks or stops working. still worth $0 but if i had to restart 1-2x an hour for like 8-10 hours i'd be annoyed.

Hot take: Super Paper Mario was very good. It just wasn't as good as TTYD and was a different genre, not to mention having to follow TTYD.

The Paper Mario games getting progressively shittier and dumber from then on made people dislike it way more than it deserves.

Sometimes I think about giving SPM another chance, because it was one of the last Mario games with unique worlds and characters until Odyssey. But then I remember the game's design
