It possibly ties in with another rumor of a mysterious SOC in production at AMD. It might be a different 'cheaper' configuration Xbox.
They're working on the following console chips:
Oberon - 10 TF (PS5 SOC)
Arden - 12 TF (Xbox Series X SOC)
Sparkman - 7 TF ( ? SOC)

That's been posted on /v/ since like mid-May. It'd be huge if true. But I highly doubt it is.

If anything, if it was true it would (*knock on wood*) mean Atlus PC ports past Catherine.

It's not awful. It is slow and repetitive but I mean....you're just Godzilla slowly destroying cities and occasionally fighting other monsters at the same time. The original Dreamcast used Windows CE. If I'm going to make a balls out guess, Microsoft and Sega are going to manufacture Dreamcasts that can read discs, but will use modern hardware and top notch emulation software to emulate Dreamcast games at 4K, ray tracing, and improved framerates.

Online will be fully functional. Sega and Microsoft worked together on design and planning, Microsoft will foot the bill for manufacturing. Most if not all Dreamcast's library will be available digitally on a new store app, on the console.

Extra bonus, Game Pass owners get Dreamcast games as part of the service.

Japan stopped caring about home consoles a decade ago. Having a halo halo gears halo forza gears halo box being branded "sega" instead of "xbox" is not going to make one bit of difference.

Well the game works fine on Xbox, but yes the Menus are atrocious. I gave up after watching the same generic cutscenes. I might as well stick to Destiny if I want to run the same content over and over.

that fucking image that shows you how many of your item slots in ffxiv are full is the most useless ui thing i have ever seen. the first thing i did in the game was shrink and erase almost all the clutter on screen, until it looked more like xiii's interface. those people that have ability icons and shit all over the screen are insane.

Last time I played a PSO game was when Dreamcast was current-gen, so I’ll have to take your word on it, as I don’t really remember that part of the game.

You have to go to a quest desk (like PSO2) to get the quest, then you have to go to the quest giver (not in PSO2 thankfully, at least from the little I played before it suicided) to get the information. Then you go on the quest. Then you return, to report the quest finished and get your rewards.

You dive through menus to equip Mag Arts, feed your Mag (PSO's only), equip/unequip items, etc.

I got PSO2 (PC) working on my second attempt. (did a regular ass uninstall then reinstalled it.. worked fine so far) Made a braver Cast character and went through the prologue np... Gotta say, it's kindling some old school Sonic Team vibes.. Feels like PSO, just way more enhanced... Will venture more into it. Will say this though, I already like it a helluva lot better than Black Desert.

What's a few more hours to stack on the countless of hundreds of hours spent on every other PSO/U released?

I had a Game Gear. I can't think of enough key titles to justify a Micro (actually I'm drawing a complete blank) . Certainly can't justify spending over 20 bucks for it.

The Sonic GG games have probably ended up on some other collections over the last 20 no? If not I'd be much more inclined to picking them up digitally as Steam/console online store titles than picking up a Micro.

I did really enjoy the Power Rangers game on the GG, but for all I know it was shit and I didn't know it back then.

I guess the main flaw I see is that the GG was meant to give you a similar graphical experience and gaming experience as the current consoles at the time. And yeah it was cool playing NBA Jam and Mortal Kombat on the thing, but in the end they are inferior to the Genesis/SNES titles. Like triple A port's of PS2 like games on the PSP. Impressive, sure. But kinda irrelevant as time passes on as they are somewhat gimped compared to their console brothers. Though the PSP had its quality exclusives that weren't about keeping up with the consoles.

The only GG games that I can think of that are unique and good (ie, not a watered down Genesis or SMS port) are the Shinobi games. Even if they had more of a selection to pick from, that thing looks to be unplayable and each version only comes with 4 games.
