But yes Capcom makes better playing games then Naughty Dog.....Which is why I want an actual over the shoulder game. VIII already looks lame with its super grim dark approach, but it and Ghost Wire being in first person is extremely disappointing. I didn’t care for VII.

Resident Evil 4 Remake and Code Veronica Remake were part of the same rumor collection as Resident Evil: Village.

I believe they're aiming for 2022 with RE4 and RE8 already has RE4 vibes

Yeah, I just wish they leveraged more of their ips then Lotr and Batman. They had far more game ready properties then Disney. Harry Potter should have had an rpg this gen. Give me a modern Matrix game.

As part of the initial pitch, Kamitani created mechas with hulking designs inspired by Robot Jox, then created a "gap in expectations" by having a setting and characters inspired by shōjo manga.

It's a side scrolling simple (closer to a VN) click & point adventure game built for a controller. There is some rts filler but that's the bulk of it.

But the way the story is told is really clever and exciting. Dozens of short chapters taking place at different times which slowly fill in the whole story.

It's a sci-fi mystery thriller with amazing production values.

Was always cautious about the title, since it seems like a big departure from their former titles.

Difficulty isn't the problem, is that i don't find it fun, i hardly think the story will be worth it alone.

The fun is the main game. Those stages are like 1-2 hours of a 15 hour game.
But yeah if you have zero interest in a traditional 2d adventure game, I'd skip it. Even as an adventure game, the puzzles are very light and it's a lot closer to a VN presented as a lucasarts/sierra adventure game with full VA.

At the end of the day, 13 Sentinels is essentially a really good playable anime series. Either you're down with that or you're not. If you like sci-fi anime, then you will love this game. One of the best sci-fi stories in gaming since Mass Effect 1.
