ehy oscar i seems to understand that you actualy played this saga 2 game so i have a question...
i seems to understand that i can randomly raise my defense by using shields which would be quite lame and boring since it would just make battle drags longer.... does it really work like that?

also is there any way to learn any healing spell? i lucked out and my monster learned one but i would like a more stable way to heal myself

You dont have to keep using Shields. Just use it once. Also DEF has a super rare chance to increase for Humans.

Read GameFAQs they give good tips. I took a browse while at work.

It's still a Kawazu game though...

I think Mother 3 didn't come over simply because Nintendo looks at the jrpg market in the US and sees maybe 50-100k potential sales max and they go "lol, not worth it". Which is the same reason why they didn't bring over Soma Bringer and may pass on Xenoblade and even Last Story. Jrpg genre is a fairly niche market in the west and jrpgs are the most expensive games to localize, those two opposing factors make money-sensitive companies like Nintendo or Namco just not bother.

I don't know, they do bring the odd RPG over, like Glory of Heracles and Magical Starsign, and they seem to now be English players' only hope for DQ games. I'm inclined to believe the official line on Mother 3, which is that it simply came out too late in the GBA's lifespan to be worth releasing overseas. They had just done Tales of Phantasia's English release, which was a sales disaster, and around the same time, they opted to localize Starsign, so unless they have a crazy vendetta against Mother (which the fans would like to believe but uh ), I think it's simplest just to believe what they said on it: they didn't think it would fare well so far past the DS/PSP's release.

I always thought that Nintendo was just to burned by Earthbound flopping, a game that they put a pretty big effort to localize, thought the marketing was terrible. I remember new copies being cleared out at Kmart for 10 dollars at the time. I regret not buying them, especially at the price they go for now.

Game looks alright. I like the lighting, but some of the art direction choices are ugly like the giant red crystals that don't fit in at all. Then again I'm guessing they're some sort of gameplay thing that is supposed to stick out. Dunno. Also what's up with all the CoD text popping up every 3 seconds when you shoot stuff. Ehh, I don't want that to be the future of all FPS games in MP.

Will probably pick it up when it hits $30 unless the reviews sell me on it at full price.

i picked 1 monster 1 male human 1 female esper and 1 mecha and what's wrong with mecha's? i gave one a speed crystal and a saber and he always murder a monster in combat before anything else can happen,that's a pretty good thing if you ask me

KZ3 is a rare case that i actually only care about playing the multiplayer. i found the single player campaign in KZ2 to be boring but the multiplayer had a good feel to it. i much preferred it to any of the other console multiplayer fps games on the market.

Consumers have many ways of discovering how good a game is before they buy, and publishers usually act quickly to patch bugs. I own the 360 version, and it wasn't particularly buggy, but I suppose I am more tolerant than most MPs (those ARE my initials).”

The outspoken analyst then went on to claim the move by Gamers’ Voice is a way for MP Tom Watson, who founded the organisation but has no involvement in it now, to grab attention.

Pachter said: “In my view, this is a blatant stunt by a politician to grab attention. He should probably pay more attention to keeping gaming jobs in the UK than to pissing off a large company that can create or eliminate UK jobs.”

It makes the most sense. Apparently the NA Wii and 360 tales were market tests that failed. This might be them testing the ps3 market after things like Demon Souls performed admirably. I wanna say Valkyrie Chronicles did alright outside of Japan too, but I might be utterly wrong about that.

How was ToV 360 NA a failure? It did like 150-200k the first month. Did they really expect a million seller? 200k is standard jrpg fare in America and in many ways, I'd say it's pretty good for a jrpg as niche as Tales.

They both sold approximately the same amount. And Namco hasn't really sent any other tales over after that. Like I said, there's some weird contingent on the ps3 that makes games like Demon Souls successful and Namco might be interested in testing the ps3 market with Graces F.

There's that, plus iPhone/iPad, Android/ChromeOS, and whatever their continuing kid-oriented online MMO directive ends up being.

It's really sad though; Blackrock made some seriously competent games, and I can't help but feel this is what happens EVERY time a major media company decides they want in on the booming videogame business. They get in, staff up, give it two or three years, and then close up shop on everything.

Which may mean that SMT4 will run on Gamebryo Engine.

odd choice for Atlus to pick when deciding engines. Figured they would have just made their own like last gen. But if they can make it look good and look SMT then it's all good in the end I guess.
