so you guys know how ps3 has slow wireless download speeds for a lot of people?
How do you improve this?  It's so slow on my brother's ps3 that any auto-patch for a game fails because the download is taking too long or it loses connection.  So he can't patch any of his games and now he can't play heavy rain because he's running into constant freezes and needs the patch that fixes it.

Otomedius Gorgeous might be coming to America:

In February we wondered if is Konami seriously thinking about localizing Otomedius after discovering a US registered trademark for Otomedius Gorgeous. The answer appears to be yes.

Two tipsters sent an e-mail telling us GameStop is taking reservations for Otomedius Excellent. I followed up by walking into a GameStop and reserving a copy. According to the retailer, Otomedius Excellent is available for Xbox 360 and scheduled to come out on September 8. It’s a full price game at $59.99. We realize retail listings aren’t always accurate and the dates or price may differ, but a game this obscure wouldn’t be appear in a database as an error, would it?

First Medal Of Honour preview I've read, set in Afghanistan it's using different engines for the multiplayer and singleplayer with single player being locked at 30+ fps giving them more leeway graphically and I assume the online multiplayer won't look quite as good but run smoother. Afghanistan can be strikingly beautiful in places, here's hoping this doesn't become a big celebration for shades of brown.

That sounds horrible. I also run on wifi with the Ps3. But I've never had any speed issues.
All game updates should be offered online. I'm sure downloading the updates from the (original) site and putting them on an usb stick takes less time than downloading them from PSN...

That's awesome.  The price is way too high and the game will bomb for sure, but that's awesome nonetheless.  Although if you can play J360 games, you can get it for like $25-$30 new now.

Yeah, my sentiments exactly. At one point I even contacted the dev about localizing it for Japan, but it was clear that they were about to receive a lot of money from a major publisher instead. I was super happy to hear that this wouldn't die on the vine.

Blur or Split Second? I'm about to pay off my preorder for the PS3 version of Blur, but the Split Second demo is pretty awesome. I'm conflicted...

I think it comes down to your focus.  Blur seems to be pushing the online multiplayer as its main element.  Whereas SS seems more all around racer like Pure.

I didn't like either demo enough to pay full price and since racing games drop hard and fast I'll get them both at $20-30.

It's the fact that there is oldschool rubber banding like Mario Kart. Just means that cars are always on your tail even if you're playing really well which is because the game is about owning dudes with powerplays and if there's noone around who are you gonna own? I've also heard mention of the AI going from always on your tail to just completely destroying you over and over in later levels. I'm still going for Split Second though... Once it's cheap of course.

The various Versus trailers that we've seen since FFXIII's multiplatform switch have made it clear that this particular FF game would be PS3-only worldwide. But CEO Yoichi Wada was less firm on this stance during a Q&A session that concluded an investors meeting today in Tokyo.

As reported at Impress Watch, when asked if it would be best to give Versus a multiplatform release on Xbox 360, Wada replied "We'll be looking into it internally until right before the formal announcement."

The question was asked in relation to Final Fantasy XIII and the possibility of the game's Xbox 360 release having helped to extend sales overseas.

By "formal announcement," Wada is presumably referring to the proper unveiling of Versus. While we've seen plenty of trailers for the game, most recently via a short teaser clip at December's Jump Festa event, Square Enix has yet to show gameplay footage outside of some camera-grabbed teaser footage that was shown at last year's Tokyo Game Show.

The game's formal unveiling is widely expected to take place at next month's E3 expo in Los Angeles, although director Tetsuya Nomura has given some hints that it could come later.

I bought my PS3 because Sony have always provided very polished and far superior games. As far as a console goes... retardBox claimed to have the best graphics.... so sony went and made a bluray console.... the Wii claimed 'motion controllers'..... so sony 1-uped and invented the Move, which will be far more accurate with the camera included.

So when the survey says people are buying the PS3 for the bluray... it's for the quality, not for movies. Anyone with a brain would choose PS3 over the vegetable shaped shootBox any day.

I was hoping the game would be more a collection of shitty minigames like the video but it's just an outrun clone for iPhone. Still it looks allright, but a cheap downloadable collection of minigames would've been so much better   To see the artists from the vid go to town on a game would have been cool.
