I was going to have to head to Costco today for some stuff today. Yeah the day before Thanksgiving is a perfect time to go to Costco... Well I just so happened to be looking to have something delivered to me through Google Shopping Express and what do you know they now will go to Costco. Sadly I had to make my order three times before my bank would tell me that they don't like google. But I got it sorted and I'm expecting my goods sometime before 1pm today. Talk about awesome!!! NO LINES NO LINES No need to finding parking too!

My pie experiment from last night didn't go so well though.

I had to stop at Costco today. Well, actually at the Home Depot next door- needed a micro HDMI cable and surprisingly Home Depot of all places was the only store locally to stock one.

The Costco parking lot was an absolute nightmare. It's always pretty bad at this particular store, but today there was a line of idiots spilling out into the street because they couldn't figure out how the four way stop worked. $:-\$

I suck so bad at wrapping presents.

Left this on the floor of my wife's closet, for a surprise when she gets home tonight.

My family isn't doing anything tonight. First time ever, I think. Nobody really cares with Thanksgiving tomorrow, and on top of that, my mother is sick and was told she's pretty contagious, so now my father is going to stay home with her tomorrow just in case. Was hoping this would allow me to get out of driving up to Athens tomorrow, but my mother will freak out if I don't go. My wife doesn't give a shit either way since this isn't her country, lol.

Do not smoke, spit, or drink out of a straw for a few days. You'll also want to stick to soft foods, soup pasta etc.

fucked up and ran an executable (which was masquerading as another file / file type) i shouldn't have while not paying attention. computer currently in safe mode scanning using Microsoft Security Essentials. MSE is saying "We have found malware or files you probably don't want on your machine" but it won't give me any details until we're done scanning.

Is MSE still enough or should I look into other programs as well to scan/clean my machine?

I'm annoyed because I just downloaded BF4 yesterday and that took forever.

Went to the public health offices to get them out for free by my aunt's friend, shit was ghetto as fuck, the chair didn't even have a working light! but the doctor was generous with the anesthesia and I didn't fell a thing! can't believe the other dentist wanted to charge me almost 100 bucks for two minutes of work!

Definitely download Malwarebytes and run a full scan. I use and like MSE but I think it only detects big problems, usually with a real time warning without scanning; the last time I clicked a malware link, MSE warned me immediately. However when I scan using it under normal circumstances it rarely detects minor or medium threats that Malwarebytes discovers.

And make sure to check for updates every few weeks. I've worked on people's computers that were infected to the point I couldn't download anything, and they'd have an old version of a program mentioned that wasn't very effective anymore.

I had that problem a couple of months ago but now that I'm having to wake up at 5 or 6 in morning for my job I can no longer be that reckless with my sleep schedule.

I found that avoiding bright computer/tablet/phone screens 2 or 3 hours before I go to bed helps. Then again, these days once I get home I'm so drained that all I want to do is sleep and not look at a computer screen because I've been staring at one for 8+ hours all day.
