Dude, this is sony's answer to 3ds. THIS.

No pricedrop.
No exclusive games except Patapon 3 and what?
No PSP2 info.
No PSPGo pricedrop!!!
distinguished mentally-challenged marketing campaign aimed at punks.
Incredible.
More like smart.
Look, there's no way they could have countered the 3DS hype. Revealing their own next-gen portable system would have seemed desperate at best. IF they plan to do a PSP2, now was not the right time to reveal it. If not, well, they'll just let the PSP keep going I guess.
Plenty of exclusive games, though, not sure what you're talking about.
Not sure how they'll compete. The DS hardware was atrocious and it didn't matter in the end. The 3DS actually looks competitive for a change. How could they match that? If not for the obvious cellphone hate, I could have seen them creating a PSPhone.
If they were to release a phone free of any contracts ala Nexus One but actually at a good price it could have been something special. The reason I play most portable games on my iPhone is simply because I always have it on me. Seems like the most logical direction for them at this point. They can't counter Nintendo, so why not try to aim for something different?
I think they're still room for a PSP2 in the face of the 3DS. Software sales is really the rub here. They've plummeted in every region except Japan for original PSP. I still think the PSP is awesome piece of hardware, probably Kutagari's most impressive product. The system still sports decent visuals for its class 6 years into its product lifespan.
I'm actually curious for both the next PlayStation and PSP since Kutagari was forced out. His stuff was pretty cutting edge and I wonder what philosophy Sony will adopt going forward.
