Fuck sleeping on the floor. I slept on the floor a few months ago when I moved into my house (moved bed to the house, stayed the last night at the apartment). Yeah. Never again. Fuck that.

Well yea once you get older sleeping on the floor or in a tent sucks, but as a kid or young adult? It's awesome yo

My dad is 50 and can still sleep in a tent without a air mattress. He always brings the same old one, which deflates after like an hour. My mom bought him a new one a couple years ago, but he won't use it because it's kind of pink. If I can still sleep on the ground at 50 I'll be in good shape

For me secularism shifts the debate into respecting all views including non-belief and how far those views should extend into the public arena. Now some people will get all hot and bothered about even those discussion but I find that removing the debate away from whether god exists or not is more conducive to discourse. There are exceptions to this of course. See the Bill O'Reily types of the world.

The way I see it, it's impossible for religion to not come up in the debate of secularism because specific topics (abortion, stem cell research, the gays, many political in nature) are tied directly to their religious belief and the fact that they are willing to impede progress in the name of thousand year old books they haven't even read. It gets to a point where "respecting" all views is pointless.
