I dealt with that from elementary through middle school because some asshole little girl hated me. I never resorted to physically attacking her though. You have to learn to let shit slide and let people talk shit without it riling you especially in school when people are just going to try to push your buttons. I witnessed this a lot towards the boys more than the girls. Some guys are just gonna straight up call you a taco to try to get you to fight them.

I guess he was shaking some other little kid and calling him a taco. Oh well, if you hit someone else the law is always gonna come down on you, schools are no diff. Gotta learn to work outside the system.

My grade-seven teacher allowed bullying to happen in class. When punished, the bullies went to the office for five minutes and got a note.  If the bullying continued,  their parents had to come in, and they probably said "boys will be boys."

I don't know how anyone can be surprised at kids who attack their bullies physically.  It's pretty much how we teach kids to solve their problems.  All their heroes solve their problems with violence.  Batman doesn't sit the Joker down for a stern talking-to, Optimus and Megatron rarely have tea anymore, and even in Pokemon, problems always come down to violence.  Never mind fiction that directly shows bully/bullied relationships where the bullied finally stands up to the bully and pops him to cheers and universal acclaim.

Don't want kids to use violence to solve their problems, stop teaching them that violence solves problems.  Which is going to be hard, because violence has a tendency to solve problems even in real life.

That's not how you're expected to behave as an adult so yeah, people just suck at raising kids. Usually bullies WANT to get you mad enough to fight them so we should be teaching kids to realize that.
