About a month or two ago, I finally made peace with GAF and left. No, I didn't request a ban or went sahfsdhgsdjgsd on my password. Not going to say what happened except that it happened.

There went maybe 10,000 posts and about nine years of participation. I decided that GAF is just not for me anymore (if people haven't noticed by now). The gaming section has been intolerable for at least a couple of years now. The straw that broke the camel's back was that losers like Devolution, Meus Renaissance, and Shanadeus were running around and shitting in threads that I was interested in reading, making them virtually unreadable. I mean, GAF in the past has had their abrasive non-troll trolls (RubxQub is a big one) but this bunch has managed to become the worst. Every news thread is now about shit like someone raping a toddler or gender roles in prison: shitty, depressing news to whip up outrage where people can one up each other in who is the most outraged at any given event.

Not that I was always a top quality contributor. Given the low quality content on GAF, being busy at work (and getting busier), and having a life outside of the internet, I realized it was time to drop that old vice and did it pretty easily. I'm Evilbore exclusive.

I... don't think so. I used to be with SEGA-Otaku and IGN Dreamcast. I prefer to be remembered for the former rather than the latter. We gotten eaten by some idiot named John Benyamine who sucked in our boss hook line and sinker on some doomed project called Cloudchaser. I jumped out at that point, joined SEGA-X very briefly, did a few strategy guides for some magazine called Video Games Underground where Gazunta worked, then bailed out of that shite entirely.

cloudchaser was what segadojo became IIRC. wow that site sucked but it had great fourms

meus renaissance is easily forgettable. He says a bunch of dumb shit, makes bad threads etc...but doesn't cause 10 page train wrecks. Devolution is easily worst, and the worst poster in years. She started off relatively fine - odd but not quite a thread derailer. I mainly remember being oddly attracted to her constantly posting in the black culture thread, where she basically just apologized for white people all day.

Now she shits up every social issue thread. Transsexual Buddhist mother/serial killer wants to be released from death row to see the Vagina Monologues one last time with her terminally ill mother? Of course she should be allowed to go, it would be inhumane to reject her mother's final wish. And you know what, did she really kill someone or did DNA "evidence" damn another innocent person to death. Good to see I'm not alone in not liking Devolution. She seriously shits up every single OT thread by proselytizing. Seems like every other OT thread is about rape or some race/social issue nowadays. I miss the lighthearted stuff from the past - PD and the Brazilian chicks for instance.

I enjoy a few of the RPG-related threads and their regulars (Boney and Gravijah are cool like Oscar said, and I am glad to see Aeana back posting again), and the official EDM thread, but every time GAF looks like it's getting slightly better (I thought Minsc, Stump and Charlequin were very good picks for mods), it threatens to "devolve" again.

I don't know Stump personally like Oscar here. But even before he got modded he was obviously a smart contributor who was thorough and informative and seemed to know a little thing about everything. After he got modded I've always witnessed him to be respectful, patient, and a practicer of restraint while still being the informative contributor he always was.
