Just where does that animosity come from?

I dunno, people always talk about it being confusing or hard to follow, but I've never really thought that? Ultimately, there are three major groups of characters: the Colonel and the weird old psychic kids, the lady that Kaneda is kinda in love with and her terrorist friends who are trying to help the one old kid get away from the government, and the biker gang that Tetsuo and Kaneda belong to [although only those two are really that important]. The conflict between the former two drags in the biker gang, owing to Tetsuo having latent psychic powers, as well. Tetsuo's powers eventually go out of control because they're too strong, and because he resists being controlled by the others. Then everything really goes crazy when Akira, the big bad psychic man, gets woken up. But he's mostly cool with just undoing the damage that's been done and then taking Tetsuo off to another plane of existence where he can't cause anymore harm.

Because all it seemed like to me was 3 new characters every 15 minutes and really aggressive and confusing editing and this dude goes from a crying bitch on the street to like....seeing teddy bear mechs and then he's in space for a sec and why does he have a cape all of the sudden and then he's half cyborg and then he erupts like Clayface and squishes someone to death on accident and then he becomes a planet?
Read the manga. It feels bleaker. The cgi movie they did is fun.
SAC is a good show.
It's been a year since I've seen Ergo Proxy I think and I'm really in the mood for another gritty, serious show like that.SAC looks good. I could finally finish Monster...
I really want to see Shosta get into like, miserable war mecha anime. When is Shosta gonna watch Gundam, Votoms, Gasaraki, every level of bullshit.
Gonna check out Pale Cocoon...

Any new serious seinen shows from the past year?
Is the tone of Cop Craft as silly as that op?
Quote from: Cindi Mayweather on March 13, 2020, 01:44:10 PMIs the tone of Cop Craft as silly as that op?It's definitely not as over-the-top as the OP, but is somewhat less hard-boiled police drama than it is burnt-out cop dealing with his new partner who is an elf from another dimension.
The first Mardock Scramble movie is pretty good.
