Charlotte is sloppy as hell too, though. The real issue that I see with the women's division is that none of them seem to react well to botches or getting off track. And once they're off the rails, they are OFF THE RAILS. All it takes is one little hiccup and any of the women on the roster besides Asuka are deer in the headlights on national TV/Network/PPV and usually need a ref to clearly feed them what to do next from the back. And while they've been involved in some great matches over the past 3 years, headlining a WM type of event sure isn't that spot I'd trust any of them in yet.
Just like as much as I think BRAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN is awesome, I'm not putting enough faith in him to keep it all together for a WM main event. I think it's an issue quite a bit of the talent currently has, which is no one is given a chance to improvise in the ring, so when a situation comes up where they need to, they don't know what to do. And in the times that they DO get to kind of do whatever in the ring, it's on a house show and they're either doing vertebreakers in front of 2000 people or doing comedy matches with lots of dancing. That Sasha/Charlotte/Bayley/Becky basically worked exclusively with each other for 2-3 years and still get lost with each other or flub their main spots is pretty telling. Alexa certainly has her character stuff down pat, but flubs a lot in the ring, as does Naomi who usually is trying something too athletic for her opponent or just over shooting on her own moves.
So when I see people talking about it being some sexism thing why they aren't headlining events (which they are starting to), I get confused at what we're really watching here. Male talent with the same issues also aren't headlining events, because you don't put people in the main event of big shows that you can't trust to not fuck something up on a regular basis.
