The idea of moving him seems really stupid since he's clearly the main reason SD ratings have gone up lately. However, SD got ravaged tonight, so SD tomorrow is going to need to be like 80% Raw dudes. SD needs to get the entire cruiserweight division and Corey Graves just to ease up their travel schedule.

I don't know, this whole thing feels kind of weak compared to some of the drafts they had before, but at the same time, we got some other debuts last week with people moving up from NXT and the Hardys returning. 

I missed most of Raw last night but the excitement of previous roster shake-ups was just not there with the way they handled things.  Anyway, I expect Kevin Owens will go to SD and maybe Jericho will too, but Jericho is going to be coming to the end of his current run with the WWE soon so it doesn't matter.

I won't sleep comfortably until SD is over and AJ is confirmed to stay. I'm ok if he goes though. I have the "seen it before" feeling with AJ/Nak that doesn't make me as hungry as people who have never seen it, so I'm not foaming at the mouth for it.

Lots of surprises last night! Like people giving a shit about Rhyno and Curt Hawkins! I like Rhyno but man he's got a WEIRD body type, for sure. He's like a weird anvil on legs.

Braun's segment was A+, kept looking for the trickery on the ambulance tip but they didn't show their hand too much. Can't find any magic there! Strowman is a treasure for being able to do these ridiculous feats of strength, even if assisted. Just like when Bork ripped that car door off and threw it into the audience. People need to be reminded that these wrasslers can do superhuman feats of strength.

Really surprising moves. Probably the most surprising was Hawkins being given a segment.

SD could be ridiculous here. I'm thinkin' Charlotte still. Maybe Reigns since he's sort of been written out, I have no idea what they're trying to do with him at the moment. I really don't. Maybe they're just building Strowman for Lesnar. It's a tough call. Now I feel like I truly know nothing.

They are building up Strowman for Lesnar, but Strowman is on track to have a match with Reigns at Payback first.  But we can see from Bray being moved to Raw, but still talking about Orton, that PPV matches already set up are still going to happen.

I was reading that the SD title will be defended on Payback, a Raw PPV, since Bray is Raw now.

And Strowman remains awesome. Love seeing crazy shit like that on wrestling!

I'm not sure what the fucking long term plan for SD's main event scene is, and I know for a fact whoever is booking it had no idea either. Every thing they've done so far this year seems pointless- Have AJ lose to Cena, have Cena drop it in an elimination chamber match, have Wyatt win that match, and then have Bray lose (because of course you have Bray lose, he's Bray) to the human equivalent of a Corona light, Randy Orton. Ok.

Yeah, at first they were pretty over. Got a big pop when they beat Bray/Orton. Then just...nothing. Although for me, they fell off hard right after that amazing first match with the Revival at the WM Takeover, because they realized their formula of Steiners/RNR spots and have basically had the same match with everyone since. They don't feel authentic or organic at all anymore. All of their matches feel planned out spot for spot and I'd like to think that's why crowds stopped giving a shit about them. It's probably more they really didn't do anything between winning the titles and dropping them.


SD actually has the dope roster now that people have been pretending they had at the start. Nak/AJ/Sami/KO/Corbin/Orton at the top of the card, Urban Usos, Charlotte, Rusev, Harper, New Day. That's a good ass core. Plus a lack of Dean Ambrose.

An update on the situation with Katsuyori Shibata. Unfortunately the news appears to be very bad and that the injuries are not storyline. This is not 100 percent because there are many situations historically where this could be just storyline or a cover for something else, but it appears this is the case and that a combination of dehydration and the trauma of the legitimately skull-on-skull head-butt hospitalized him and at this point it is believed he will never be cleared to wrestle. He is currently in the hospital and is awake, can carry on a conversation, has some memories of the match itself. He initially had some right side paralysis but that is getting better.

I guess it wasn't a work.

I rewatched that headbutt spot.  You can hear a thud when their skulls connect.  It's pretty fucking hard to watch knowing the aftermath.

I just watched New Beginning in Sapporo and wasn't feeling it at all. Typical NJ boring ass undercard, and then Okada/Suzuki working a 40 minute match with 30 mins of leg locks was pretty hard to keep my attention. Especially since all that leg work had about as much impact on Okada as it did on Seth in the WM match with HHH. I hate this era where as long as you grab your knee for a second, that counts as selling, and it makes sense why you could get your knee destroyed to the point of not being able to walk to being able to jump of the head of your opponent with no issues.

Idk, I really don't want to have Okada = Rollins in my head, as that will ruin him forever, but he definitely needs to be consistent with his selling. I think that's been a complaint about him for years. Which means it probably won't change at this point.

I kinda hate that Okada/Suzuki match.  It was 15 minutes too long and lost all suspension of disbelief after about 25 minutes. 

Just go watch AJ/Suzuki from G1 2014.  Same premise, but only like 18 minutes long and flows much better.

It's absolutely true. Suzuki brought a neat angle of his own (not wrassle-angle, but a literal angle) to their bout. Very sinister match with a cocky butthole and a grizzled and cocky butthole. It was excellent.

AJ's been lighting the world on fire ever since he took that step into NJPW. I remember when they gave him the IWGP title so fast and people were really put off. Nah. NAH. Japan had it right...hell of a champion.
