Actually known shit:
KSA is having money problems and aren't paying their debts, this extends beyond WWE. Remember like a year or two ago when they straight up did a shakedown of their richest citizens to the tune of a few billion? They hadn't paid Vince for the prior 2 shows. Not receiving these payments made WWE's financials look bad and caused a huge stock drop that lost Vince something close to $300M in a day.
MBS no-showed a one on one meeting scheduled with Vince.
The show was supposed to air live in Saudi Arabia, but Vince delayed the live feed for KSA viewers by about 40 minutes, which coincided with a mystery $60m payment.
Everyone with their own personal jets got out immediately as the show ended (Vince and presumably his inner circle of execs and production guys like Michael Hayes, Hogan/Flair apparently rode with Brock/Heyman on a separate jet), the remaining majority of talent and crew were first ordered off their plane, then were stuck on the plane for hours and not allowed off the plane, were told there were mechanical issues, and then once the issues were cleared up, there were no pilots because their shift had ended. Their flight ended up leaving over 24+ hours after the scheduled take off. A separate flight was chartered for "absolutely necessary" talent, but none of them made it back for Smackdown anyway. This is where tweets about the "Top20" came from.
So the story seems to be Vince was mad about not getting paid and held the SAUDI ROYAL FAMILY up for money (not unlike Jeff Jarrett did to Vince in 1999

) got what he could and got the fuck out of dodge, leaving his employees behind, who were then hit with one of MBS' apparently not uncommon but thankfully not deadly tricks in disputes.
Multiple wrestlers tweeted about it like they were fearful and felt like they were being held, left behind, and didn't know if they'd make it home. Almost none tweeted about the mechanical issues. Some spouses have tweeted about it being a hostage situation of sorts. Apparently this is not uncommon to happen in Saudi Arabia when there is an issue with the royal family and contractors.
The airline put out a statement about the mechanical issue, which seems kind of weird to make a public announcement about mechanical issues on a private flight but
